University of Wales Lampeter

Freshwater was appointed by University of Wales Lampeter to develop a creative communication campaign aimed at raising the University’s profile and securing additional students for the 2009 academic year.

A social media strategy was devised to drive potential students to the university website. Skyscraper and banner ads, Facebook advertising and a Google ‘Pay per Click’ campaign accompanied a broader PR strategy of newspaper advertising, e-marketing and the development of core campaign visuals and slogans.

Results were excellent, with enquiries to Lampeter’s clearing hotline increasing by 400%, the number of students accepting places rising by 129%, and, Lampeter’s Halls of Residence were completely full for the first time in two years.
