When Castle MacLellan Foods Limited approached Freshwater to raise the profile of its celebrated quality pâté brand amongst consumers and trade customers, ahead of the key Christmas buying period, we were eager to become involved with a renowned brand of some 30 years standing.

Given the company’s reputation as expert in its field in terms of pâté production, as well as its commitment to sourcing authentic Scottish ingredients from local producers, the message of ‘provenance’ needed to be incorporated within our strategy. We developed a four pronged approach which embraced a targeted media campaign, sampling opportunities with food journalist, promotions within key publications and considerable trade activity.

The outcome of our campaign was an ROI of 27:1, with coverage in key titles such as Delicious magazine, Scotland on Sunday and Scottish Field.
