Primula Cheese

When the makers of Primula Cheese challenged us to develop a concept that would engage existing and new target consumers of this long-established brand in an innovative way, we came up with “cheese art”.

We specifically timed the launch to coincide with British Cheese Week and worked with a food artist to create a collection of celebrity portraits painted entirely from Primula Cheese.  ‘Justin Brie-ber’, ‘Lady Gouda’, and ‘Ched-ward’ were unveiled at an outdoor consumer event in central London, where members of the public were invited to “say cheese” next to their favourite celebrity portrait and share their picture through social networking sites. 

Media pick-up was extensive with more than 250 pieces of coverage from this one activity including Evening Standard,,,, the Irish Star, Real Radio, CityBeat FM and Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff.
