Red Hot World Buffet

Restaurant chain Red Hot World Buffet approached the Freshwater team to manage the opening of their new Cardiff restaurant. Our brief included; creating and rolling out a high profile launch event; generating a sense of excitement in the run up to opening; and, securing attendance of key movers and shakers.

We organised for Welsh broadcaster Sian Lloyd to host the evening accompanied by performance acts for entertainment; including a Chinese lion, Geisha girls, Indian drummers, Bollywood dancers and a Mariachi band. We then switched press stories to restaurant reviews and feature pieces on the staff.

Over 300 VIPs, journalists and bloggers attended, which was one of the most successful ever Red Hot launches. Over 2,500 diners visited the restaurant in the first three days of opening and 6,000 visited in the first week. Within just three weeks the restaurant had hit its target of attracting 8,000 visits in one week.
