Universities Heads of the Valleys Institute (UHOVI) was formed to make higher education more accessible to adults of all ages in the South Wales Valleys, as well as contribute to the wider regeneration of the area. Freshwater was commissioned to design a new course guide for the higher education initiative and develop a creative concept that could be used for wider marketing channels such as press and outdoor advertising.

We recommended using the red ā€˜uā€™ from the UHOVI logo to act as a theme for the marketing collateral and to help raise awareness of the brand. We facilitated a photoshoot using UHOVI students posed with the life-size ā€˜uā€™ which was commissioned and built by local model makers.
